What makes Villa la Piste a great holiday rental:
Best for:
Villa la Piste has for many years proved a popular choice for families wanting easy access to the beach.

Anything to watch out for:
Why Capbreton:
It's an authentic working fishing port with a bustling sea-front and marina. There's a lively seafood market, excellent seafood restaurants (the locals eat in Capbreton rather than its more illustrious neighbour, Hossegor) and a good selection of shops. It is a welcome contrast to many of the 'purpose-built' resorts around the French coastline.

Mme Dessioux
August 2020 - 5/5 - Relaxing days in Capbreton
We very much enjoyed our stay in Capbreton. The house has been tastefully renovated and was spotclean when we arrived. Everything was very convenient and the kitchen well equipped- we stayed in most of the time due to the special situation this summer. However, there are nice restaurants in walking distance and you can easily reach Capbreton center by bike. It is definetly worth renting a bike for the stay. The beach is very close and you can see the dunes from the terrace. We also enjoyed jumping in the swimming pool. Check-in and out was easy and the owner is in town, so easy reachable in case you have a problem. We definetely recommend a stay in this nice home! Frau Loeffler

Bright and relaxed chalet-style villa with pool and just 300m from beach.
A very well-equipped and appointed holiday home and one of our most popular.
It's a traditionally designed Landais chalet with its low roof, whitewashed walls, terracotta tiled floors and exposed beams. The house has been updated by its English owner to provide a fantastic holiday rental by the beach (and a family home for the owner outside of the season).
Inside:
As is typical of a Landais house, the majority of accommodation is on the ground floor, dominated by a cosy living area or séjour. In this case, the living room is double-height with a vaulted ceiling. A large fireplace houses a wood-burning stove and facilities also include dvd player and satellite TV. There is plenty of comfortable seating and a separate dining area with table for 6 persons. The living room provides access to the south facing terrace via French doors.
There is an 'inside verandah' just off the living room which picks up the morning sun. It is principally a TV room for children/teens. A separate laundry area is also found here.
The spacious and well-equipped kitchen has all essential appliances including washing machine, dishwasher, American-style fridge freezer and range cooker. Patio doors lead from the kitchen to the pool terrace.
There is a separate toilet with washbasin, just inside the front door.
Two of the three bedrooms are on the ground floor:
Bedroom 3 is upstairs. This is a lovely double room (160cm bed) with views over the pool, through the pines to the sand dunes. This is beach-living!
On the upper level there is also a family bathroom (bath, shower fitting and WC) with low ceiling
Outside:
The villa is terraced on two sides (south- and west-facing) and there is ample space for sitting outside and for enjoying meals (garden furniture provided) at all times of day, whether it's sun or shade you want. Cooks will appreciate the built-in chimney-style BBQ (ideal for grilling fish - the local speciality). The west-facing terrace has a covered area with relaxing views of the sand dunes.
The swimming pool (9m x 5m, max depth 1.5m) is protected by a pool cover. The pool benefits from Roman steps making it easier for younger kids to access the water. The cover should be used at night (it helps retain the heat in the water). Solar powered shower.
The overall plot is quite generous - 1300m2 - and there's ample parking too.
2x doubles 160cm & 1x twin (90cm single beds x 2)
Ensuite shower room/WC - upstairs bathroom/WC - outdoor pool/beach shower - additional ground floor WC
Private pool (unheated) with pool cover. 9x5 metres, max depth 1.5m. Steps into the pool
2x cots available
Fans available
No smokers. Pets are considered
The villa is located on a residential road in Capbreton and is set back from the street. The local beach "la Piste", is less than 5 minutes' walk over the dunes. Similarly, local shops and restaurants can be found in 5-10 minutes on foot. This is a perfect place if you don't want to use the car too much. Capbreton adjoins Hossegor to the south and whilst the two districts each have their own centre, they are really only divided by the marina and harbour. The resorts are found on the southern Landes coast about 40 kms north of Biarritz. Very handily, the airport and motorway and within easy reach.
